What Is It?

Drones have a bad reputation, and even though many of us call our Multi-rotors by different names, the public does associate our fantastic machines with the word drone. We are here to make sure that Drones are seen in a positive light.

The purpose of International Drone Day is to show the world that drones are good, and can be used for many good purposes. Movie making, search and rescue, police work, architecture, inspections, emergency response, and for just having fun.

Race Information

To register for your race frequency card visit our event site at MultiGP: http://www.multigp.com/races/view/2251/Drone-Day-Boston

If you have opted to race the day of the event, there are a few things that we need you to know and understand:

you must have purchased a ticket prior to the event and opted yes to race
there will be ABSOLUTELY no flying outside of the enclosed flight area
NOTHING larger than a 250mm will be allowed to race
25mw video transmitter and receiver for best results, adjustable is better
craft inspection required prior to participating
FAA / AMA registration and membership preferred
frequency registration required prior to event (see below)
all battery charging to be done ONLY in pit area and inside fire proof bag/box
test flight required for each pilot
no testing of gear during race heats, only between, no controllers on in pit
race and event staff make all final decisions regarding safe to fly etc.
